The Municipal Outreach Project launch will introduce the municipal councillors, officials, and development organisations to the roles each will play in the this pioneering initiative.
This project promises to deliver new best practice policy interventions to equip local government with tools to adequately resolve poverty challenges in their communities.
The municipalities included in the project are as follows:
- Capricorn District Municipality
- The City of Cape Town
- Ekurhuleni Metropolitan
- eThekwini Metropolitan
- City of Johannesburg
- Motheo District Municipality
- Nelson Mandela Bay
- City of Tshwane
All municipal councillors and officials, government officials, and development organisations, are urged to attend the launch of this initiative. The participation and support of all tiers of government, as well as development organisations is encouraged.
